   Only if the correct level of the force of gravity   
   also popped into existence all by itself. Because   
   if the force of gravity were a bit stronger, the   
   universe would have collapsed back in on itself   
   sometime after the Big Bang happened.   
      
   If gravity were a bit weaker, all the matter from   
   the Big Bang would have scattered and never formed   
   the galaxies and solar systems. Planet Earth, out   
   there flying around without the Sun, would be a   
   very cold and inhospitable place. And the universe   
   (as we know it) wouldn't exist, as all the matter   
   would have just kept scattering in all directions.
