   You're not addressing whether his trial was fair. Just   
   so you know it wasn't. He wasn't given due process, as   
   during his speech in which he tried to defend himself,   
   the crowd became enraged and dragged him away before   
   any official sentence was given by the Jewish judges.   
   It was an out-of-control mob that preempted the trial   
   and started stoning Stephen illegally.
