Most of my       generation would likely tell you where they were,       and all details of that moment when they heard he'd       been assassinated in a motorcade in Dallas, November       22, 1963.       It seemed the shock and horror of it was almost       paralyzing to me and so many, school students and       teachers, family, coworkers and neighbors.       And he was a primarily good and decent, intelligent       and compassionate man, with a nice family.       Handsome and charming, jovial and tolerant.       Yet, Donald J. Tr*mp, 45th/47th POTUS somehow       convinced a majority of the JFK Memorial's       administrators to vote to attach his name to       JFK's memorial building, angering Kennedy family,       friends and so many of us out here that damn well       know JFK was a shining example of a great President       in many aspects, far beyond DJT.       That name change was a sick insult to so many who'd       admired JFK, back then and to this very day - and to       see a billionaire con artist, a divisive, petty,       megalomaniacal and defaming bastard get his name       placed not only next it but in front of JFK's name,       was one more hard kick in so many American's asses!       DJT pales in comparison to the personality and       behavior of JFK, the latter not having thousands       of lawsuits against him.       The times are distressingly sick and stupid, petty       and childish, self-centered and greedy.       I'm glad my parents didn't live long enough to see       the ugly spectacle of an America that has been       chopped up by a crazy POTUS who fancies himself a       King, and indispensable if not the only one that       matters.       @y0       `G`              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
