   election was held in May of 2014.

   That can happen when a country is attacked by a   
   foreign power, which is what happened in this case.

   As for freedom of the press, there are some wartime   
   restrictions in place. As for freedom of religion,   
   Ukraine is under attack by Russians -- so there are   
   some restrictions on Russian-linked religious groups.   
   If anything, it's religious minorities in Russian   
   occupied territories who are really being persecuted.   
      
   When did you become such a big proponent of Russia,   
   to the point you can so easily ignore the Russian   
   atrocities to make your points about the country
