The       next year, I lined up in a series of sessions, in the hallways       of Steel Lake Elementary and had LPNs or nursing assistants       stick all of us with needles to fend off scary smallpox, polio,       rubella, mumps, measles, etc.       I was happy to have the protection those vaccines afforded even       though no kid likes to get stuck with hypodermic needles. Ouch!       But when I saw some kids with leather and steel leg supports,       clanking clumsily down the hallways, it was frightening enough       to forget the tiny percentage that react badly to the viruses       in the vaccine solutions.       Then came the 2000s era and there has been a spreading fear of       vaccinations driven by conspiracists, and aided by mostly right-       wing politicians and popular media personalities.       Anyone that ignores vaccinations is helping spread potentially       deadly or crippling diseases, and exposing themselves as well.       Irresponsible social behavior has now risen to the point that       such diseases like measles are making a comeback.       I survived chickenpox as a kid and was isolated for two weeks       as I scratched itchy red spots all over my body, took baking       soda baths and was pretty much bedridden. It is one of the       lesser diseases vaccines prevented. I was lucky. We don't       need to be trusting in luckiness, but make rational smart       decisions to keep such horrid diseases from ruining our lives       and those we love.       It is an era of self-centered and paranoiac behaviors galore,       with narcissistic irresponsible childish leadership prevailing.       A terrible era that at this moment hasn't even blossomed to       its fullest - a living hellish nightmare.       But there is a massive resistance building quickly and two       days ago, King Donald suffered a major setback to his fascistic       militarized concept of America under the direction of a psycho       who's turned into a serial killer south of the border.       "Hey, we've blown up five more boats and killed 9 more people       and so that means we saved l25,000 more innocent American lives!"       says Donnie, hoping no one will notice his calculations are bunk.       @y=       `V`              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
