   It's not like a revisit to the extraordinary "Spanish Flu"   
   pandemic - 1918 to 1920 that killed so many here and globally -   
   will be a joyride in a highly polarized election with a dirty   
   authoritarian and 76 million avid followers aching to rule the   
   world, so to speak. Vaccines were rushed into production with   
   political pressures pushing very hard. Media exploitation gone   
   berserk, too.   
   Fueled by conspiracy thinking that blamed the Left. And it had   
   that CDC lab disaster that helped aggravate the crisis. This   
   decade began with that extraordinary health crisis and has now   
   devolved to what we've witnessed at the Exec Branch level -   
   a decidedly fascistic manifestation that is more ominous than   
   the COVID crisis could ever be. It threatens to hurt and kill,   
   destroy and demonize our nation's people at all levels.   
   This could be a decade that will match or exceed the worst   
   of our dark history, at least since the 1920s to 1940s, or   
   the Civil War period.   
   Many people can feel the fear and hatred, tension and   
   melancholy rising, see it and hear it rumbling like thunder.   
   Mistakes were made in the pandemic mania, yes, but it hit   
   perfectly with a highly polarized society led by a radical   
   rightist, Donald, who is now showing more of his true colors   
   as an authoritarian superego who's likely to bring us to new   
   behavioral and policy lows.
