The Temple doesn't need to be built for the Rapture
to happen. The Rapture could happen at any time.

This is how I believe things will play out after the
Rapture, based on what the Bible tells us about the
seven-year Tribulation. and the Antichrist's role
   during that time:

The Bible prophesies a big war in Ezekiel 37 and 38,
which may be what leads to the Rapture, and also to
the unveiling of the Antichrist to the world after
that war is ended supernaturally by God -- but the
Antichrist steps forward and takes credit for the
   peace.

After that war ends, with Israel still intact after
having been attacked by a coalition of countries
that are defeated, the Antichrist will be a hero
to the people of Israel. They will believe that
he is responsible for the peace, and the defeated
countries will see him as very powerful since he
will have them convinced that he brought about
the peace (though it was actually brought about
   supernaturally by God).

This will give the Antichrist great power to tell
the world that he will oversee the rebuilding of
the Temple, and the defeated countries in the war
(of Ezekiel 37 and 38), which the Antichrist will
appear to have stopped -- those defeated countries
will not have the power to stop the Antichrist from
overseeing the rebuilding of the Temple.

For the first three and a half years of the seven
year Tribulation, things will seem good between the
Antichrist and the people of Israel. The Temple will
be rebuilt, the Antichrist will be a hero -- but at
the midpoint of the seven-year Tribulation, the
Antichrist will walk into the Temple and proclaim
himself to be God -- and that's when all hell breaks
   loose.

The final three and a half years of the Tribulation
will be horrific. All of this is detailed in the
Book of Revelation, with other details in the Old
Testament Book of Daniel. It really is amazing the
way the books of the Bible all fit together so well.
It's as if the writers of the Bible were Divinely
   Inspired or something.
