|    Might the Devil Be Behind The Rapture?    |
|    10 Jan 26 17:42:47    |
From: theirony2013@gmail.com              Short answer: yes—according to the Bible’s own       warnings, a deceptive figure could convincingly       stage something that looks like a rapture to       many people.              The Bible repeatedly warns that the end times       will involve powerful deception, including false       christs and “lying signs and wonders” capable of       misleading even the faithful (Matt 24:23–24;       2 Thess 2:9–10).              Because Scripture never teaches       a secret rapture but does teach one visible, public,       and final return of Christ, any dramatic event that       contradicts that description—even if it appears       supernatural—must be treated with skepticism. A       mass disappearance or “rapture-like” event would       perfectly exploit existing expectations and       confirmation bias, making it an ideal form of       deception.              The Bible also teaches that signs alone       are not proof of divine authority and explicitly       warns against believing hidden or staged appearances       of Christ (Matt 24:26). Christ’s true return       requires no interpretation or explanation: it is       visible to all at once, accompanied by resurrection       and final judgment, and it ends history. If the       world continues afterward, it was not Christ.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
