The basis of the false claim that "lucifer" is a name
is due to a bad translation of the Bible. Unfortunately,
the King James Bible translation made several mistakes,
and capitalizing the descriptive term "lucifer" -- and
thereby turning it into another name for Satan -- is
one of those mistakes. Many other Bible translations
correctly translate the descriptive term "lucifer"
   into English as "morning star".

I just thought you might want to know that "lucifer"
is not another name for Satan, and it never was. Just
because a lot of people in the English-speaking world
have been misled by a bad translation, that doesn't
mean anyone who knows better needs to continue using
   that bad translation.
