If you're using contextual reference within the Christian
community, it's out of place historically. But in art and
culture, it's been more than satisfactory. Past and modern
entertainment often opts for popular usage for the obvious
reason to attract audiences that comprise both secular and
   nonsecular mindsets.
Satanism and Wicca, for example, don't accept that "Satan"
exists as a reality, but is a fanciful creation Christians
   accept.
Mother Earth is at the basis of Wicca, which acts much like
a human mother, both loving and punishing, but not as an
evil intelligence and energy, per se. It seeks to keep a
healthy balance for all to survive and be contented.
   Blessed be! LOL!
Satanists and Wiccans don't mix well, yet in modern and
past popular cultures, they often are shown as partners in
evil and even that Wicca accepts Satan. Wiccans would balk
   at that gross misconception.
