   Some Bible passages are used to argue for the   
   possibility of a double rapture. Verses such   
   as Revelation 7:9–14 and 14:1–5 are cited to   
   suggest a first group (“firstfruits,” the 144,000)   
   followed by a later, larger group, while   
   Luke 21:36, Matthew 24:40–42, the parable of   
   the ten virgins (Matt. 25:1–13), and   
   Revelation 12:5 are interpreted as implying   
   selective timing or differing readiness.
