I can't blame you for believing a bad translation of
the Bible verse Luke 17:21. Unfortunately, the King
James got this one wrong, too. In the original Greek,
the verse says the Kingdom of God is in your midst.
But the King James incorrectly translated it as the
Kingdom of God is within you.

Here's the unfortunate King James bad translation that
has caused a lot of misunderstanding among Christians
   for too many years:

[quoting from the King James version] "Neither shall
they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the
kingdom of God is within you." [end quote] Luke 17:21

Here's a better translation, from the New American
Standard Bible (NASB): "Nor will they say, 'Look, here
it is!' or, 'There it is!' For behold, the kingdom
of God is in your midst." [end quote] Luke 17:21

There is a difference between "in your midst" and
"within you". In your midst is how the original
Greek is worded when translated properly.
