   Romans 1 is all about the sin of idolatry.   
      
   Those numbers?  Those were added about a thousand years   
   after Justinian standardized the bible... by criminalizing   
   everything but approved versions.   
      
   As someone who grew up Catholic, I always fund those   
   numbers perplexing, the way Protestants use them. They   
   almost always yank them out of context, which itself is   
   a sin, is it not?  Like how Romans 1 was usually used   
   in their anti gay crusades, destroying the actual context   
   of the book, the idolatry, and how God made them gay for   
   each other because of their sin.   
      
   Being gay in the eastern tradition was a SEVERE handicap!   
   It was the first born, for example, who was responsible   
   for taking care of the parents... even in death! So by   
   never having a first born or any born, they were in   
   trouble.   
      
   It's also culture. Blonde hair is culturally valued with   
   us, as is a large penis. Well. In those ancient times, in   
   those ancient traditions, have many children and many sons   
   in particular was valued.   
      
   Thus, if you have the men boning each other and the women   
   "Eating at the Y" then you're culturally very poor.   
      
   Plus most straight people just think it's gross.

   Actually I believe it says that people who know what they   
   are supposed to do (not sin?) but do it anyways will be   
   treated worse than people who do it not knowing that God   
   said it was a no-no.

   The bible justifies lots of wars. In fact, God seems to   
   order a bunch of wars. Supporting a war is not in itself   
   a sin, according to the bible.   
      
   I didn't support the invasion of Iraq. I would have   
   supported an invasion of Yemen except for the fact that   
   it would help our fake allies so much more than us, but   
   it would be Americans paying for & dying for that war...   
      
   As always.   
      
   PLUS. right now China is a huge threat and anything we   
   get tangled up in detracts from our ability to deter
