   That would be the same for scooters and wheelchairs.   
   I haven't heard any stories of a disabled person's   
   scooter exploding. I would fear having one in my apartment   
   in case of fire, but there could be earthquakes, etc.   
   Nothing is completely save.

   I don't think I would store a gasoline powered vehicle   
   in my apartment. I have an air condition that uses propane   
   in the compressor. I haven't heard of any disasters, but
