    "hanc ecce    vobis carissimi  secundam   scribo  epistulam in quibus excito   
     this behold, you   cherished, the second i write epistle   in which  i excite   
      
     vestram in commonitione sinceram   mentem ut   memores  sitis   eorum   quae

     praedixi        verborum  a  sanctis        prophetis et  apostolorum   
   vestrorum   
     have predicated the words by the sanctified prophets  and apostles    of

     praeceptorum Domini              et  salvatoris hoc  primum scientes        
   quod   
     the precepts of the dominant one and salvator,  this first  being scient,   
   that   
      
     venient   in novissimis diebus in deceptione inlusores iuxta proprias   
     will come in the last   days   in deception  illuders, near  their own   
      
     concupiscentias ambulantes  dicentes ubi   est promissio   aut adventus     
   eius   
     concupiscence   ambulating. saying,  where is  the promise or  the advent of   
   him,   
      
     ex     quo   enim patres      dormierunt    omnia      sic  perseverant    ab   
     out of which for  the fathers fell dormant, all things thus they persevere   
   from   
      
     initio      creaturae    latet  enim eos  hoc  volentes      quod    caeli   
     the initial of creation. latent for  they this are volitive, because the   
   heavens   
      
     erant prius  et  terra     de     aqua   et  per aquam consistens Dei   
     were  prior, and the earth out of water, and by  water consisting of the   
   deities   
      
     verbo     per quae  ille     tunc mundus    aqua  inundatus  periit   
     the word, by  which that was then the world water inundated, perished,   
      
     caeli       autem qui   nunc sunt et  terra      eodem    verbo repositi    
   sunt   
     the heavens but   which now  are, and the earth, the same word  reposited   
   are,   
      
     igni     servati   in diem    iudicii     et  perditionis impiorum   hominum   
     ignition preserved in the day of judgment and perdition   of impious men.   
      
     unum vero      hoc  non lateat     vos carissimi  quia    unus dies   
     one  in verity this not is latent, you cherished, because one  day   
      
     apud               Dominum          sicut mille anni        et  mille        
   anni   
     in the presence of the dominant one as    a thousand years, and a thousand   
   years   
      
     sicut dies  unus non tardat Dominus          promissi    sed patienter agit   
     as    a day one. not tardy  the dominant one of promise, but patiently acts   
      
     propter    vos  nolens      aliquos perire     sed omnes     ad paenitentiam   
     because of you, not willing any one to perish, but every one by penitence   
      
     reverti    adveniet    autem dies    Domini              ut fur      in qua   
     to revert. will advent but   the day of the dominant one as a thief, in which   
      
     caeli       magno    impetu  transient     elementa     vero      calore   
     the heavens of great impetus will transit, the elements in verity by calor   
      
     solventur         cum  haec         igitur    omnia dissolvenda sint   
     will be loosened. when these things therefore all   dissolved   will be,   
      
     quales       oportet      esse        vos  in sanctis    conversationibus et   
     of what sort is opportune ought to be you, in sanctified conversation     and   
      
     pietatibus expectantes et  properantes in adventum   Dei            diei   
     piety,     expecting   and hastening   to the advent of the deities the day,   
      
     per quam  caeli       ardentes solventur         et  elementa     ignis   
     by  which the heavens ardent   will be released, and the elements ignited   
      
     ardore       tabescent          novos vero      caelos      et  novam terram   
     in the ardor will be tabescent. new   in verity the heavens and new   the   
   earth,   
      
     et  promissa     ipsius expectamus in quibus iustitia habitat    propter   
     and the promises of him we expect, in which  justice  habitates. because of   
      
     quod   carissimi  haec         expectantes satis      agite   inmaculati et   
     which, cherished, these things expecting,  sufficient you act immaculate and   
      
     inviolati   ei     inveniri in pace   et  Domini              nostri   
     inviolable, by him found    in peace. and of the dominant one of ours   
      
     longanimitatem salutem    arbitramini sicut et   carissimus    frater  noster   
     longsuffering  salvation, arbitrate   as    also the cherished brother of   
   ours   
      
     Paulus secundum     datam     sibi   sapientiam scripsit    vobis   sicut et   
     paul   according to the given to him sapience   has written to you, as      
   also   
      
     in omnibus epistulis     loquens  in eis  de his           in quibus sunt   
     in all     his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which  are   
      
     quaedam difficilia   intellectu          quae  indocti      et  instabiles   
     some    difficulties to intellectualise, which the untaught and unstable   
      
     depravant sicut et   ceteras   scripturas  ad suam  ipsorum perditionem   
     deprave,  as    also the other scriptures, to their own     perdition.   
      
     vos igitur     fratres   praescientes      custodite   ne       insipientium   
     you therefore, brothers, having prescience in custody, that not incipient   
      
     errore    transducti  excidatis a    propria  firmitate crescite    vero   
     the error transducing excise    from your own firmity.  be crescive in verity   
      
     in gratia     et  in cognitione Domini              nostri  et  salvatoris   
     in gratitude, and in cognition  of the dominant one of ours and salvator   
      
     Iesu  Christi ipsi   gloria    et   nunc et  in die     aeternitatis amen"   
     jesus christ. to him the glory both now  and in the day of eternity. amen.
