From: jtem01@gmail.com              This was posted 16 years ago but it may be older. I dunno.       No date on the song itself.              The video is letterbox, which typically signifies HD video       (at least 720) but it looks like it's SD... PAL.              Actually, kind of looks like 16mm or even 8mm film! But       let's call it PAL.              That's 25 fps, but more lines.              Tradition movie film was 24 fps so a lot of "early       adapters" to the world of video would go after PAL, as       it more closely approximated film than the NTSC of       North America.              Interesting note: A! LOT! of hardware, cameras, would       have been capable of both. Think about it: Why build       two entirely unique cameras when you can build one, and       then the firmware can set it to one or the other.              Later, when DSLRs started to take over, Europe was       charging higher taxes (tariffs) on film cameras than       still cameras. So the manufacturers would set their       European DSLRs to only record no more than 30 seconds       of video at a time, as that was the divide between       movie and still cameras. So if you could jailbreak your       camera, you could buy a DSLR without the movie camera       higher tariff, jailbreak it & let it film videos!              Yeah, Europe was invented as a trade war. It really was.       The E.U. grew out of the "Common Market" which was to       create a single economic market to rival the U.S.,       Russia and later China...                                                 --       https://jtem.tumblr.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
