|    Not that any of us matter but, Iran... (    |

From: jtem01@gmail.com              I haven't posted anything about Iran.              Oh, I reacted to the Doc shrieking on the topic, but       nothing on Facebook and, more telling, nothing on       Tumblr.              I've been avoiding the topic.              And it's not like I haven't been thinking about it. Iran       has been on my mind a lot. But I *Cringe* and every       suggestion that Americans need to get involved, "Support"       THIS or THAT.              Remember the hostage crisis?              That was because we -- the United States -- backed       placing the self-proclaimed "Royals" back in power.              It was a British plan. The Brits had been working on       "Regime Change" in Iran for YEARS at that point, quite       literally YEARS of effort, and they were even willing       to invade Iran to accomplish this regime change.              But they couldn't.              Stalin wasn't afraid of the Brits. The Soviet Union       had been Public Enemy #1 of the British empire since       the revolution and the executions of the Russian royal       family and a British "Intervention" in Iran would have       amounted to an engraved invitation hand delivered to       Stalin:              "The British empire cordially invites you, Stalin, to       counter invade Iran and stomp the shit out of our       military."              It would have happened.              So the Brits needed their own 400 pound gorilla to       keep Stalin at bay and the President at the time,       Truman, was like, "Go fuck yourself."              And why not?              America was going to topple a democracy, install some       dumb cunt who thinks his shit don't stink, risking a       war with Russia, all because the Brits said they owned       Iran's oil and were willing to kill to keep control of       it?              No, Truman "Passed" on THAT golden opportunity...              Truman, btw, by some amazing coincidence was subjected       to the mother of all negative campaigns. He was denounced       as a communist, for example. And it was so bad that when       he left office the man couldn't have gotten elected dog       catcher....              Yes I'm saying that, once again, just like in the pre war       years, the Brits were interfering in American politics.              So, Ike gets elected and before Ike even got sworn in the       CIA started moving forward on the coup in Iran.              Again, VERY simple plan: The U.S. was orders of magnitude       more conservative back then, Iran even more so. The social       conservatives, the religious conservatives -- and we might       as well just say "Religious" because they were automatically       conservative -- they all loved having a Shah. The democracy       was imposed on Iran by foreigners.              Any government imposed by foreigners ALWAYS has a taint...              Effectively, the only part of the British plan that had       been missing up to that point was "400 pound gorilla to       counter Stalin." And that was the United States.              The only role the U.S. had in the British plan was to be       the 400 pound gorilla. And to make sure every (Stalin) was       clear on this, they had to "Leak" the fact that this       British plan was an American CIA plan.              Stalin had to believe he was up against Ike, not the Brits.              So they leaked it. And nobody would publish it.              Back then they still had this thing called "Patriotism" and       the media was none too eager to publish classified information.              The media didn't know this was a British operation and that       planting the fairy tale that it was an American coup into       the press was part of the plan, to scare away the Russians.              Finally the Saturday Evening Post published where the NYT       said "Fuck off."              You want to know what kills me? I had it. I actually owned       a copy of THAT edition of the Saturday Evening Post, back when       I was in high school. It was from someone's old magazine       collection that they had thrown out and. totally by accident,       I got THAT edition!              And I have no idea what happened to it.              By I actually had a copy -- decades later -- and read it, which       seared the whole thing in my mind... forever...              Even funnier: I was not away of the British history on the       topic. But this was post hostage-taking, so I could connect the       operation to the later fall of the Shah and the blaming of the       U.S.              LATER in life I found out it was a years-long British effort, not       an American, and it was one of COUNTLESS examples of our fake       friends in Europe throwing the United States under the bus...              I HATE monarchy. I HATE "nobility." It's a cancer on mankind.              ALL economic disparity flows directly from social disparity.              You can pretend it's not true but it is. ALL the highest paying       positions -- from CEO to corporate lawyer -- and not and never       are "Market" priced. Earnings never ever relates to market value.              The only way on God's green earth that an Elon Musk could       possibly justify a $1 trillion "compensation" package is if one       or more other companies are offering him $999 billion.              That's it.              This means that there's ZERO capitalism involved. There's NO       market forces what so ever. Elon Musk is being paid many, many,       many orders of magnitude beyond his market worth.              Hourly wage earners? They are actually paid LESS than they are       worth. ALL hourly wage workers. Right now.              Back when George Dubya Bush was president, on average Americans       were earning $2,0000 less per year than they would have WITHOUT       all the illegal aliens.              Illegal aliens depress wages. Not only does a greatly reduced       wage look big to them, because they come from a third world       shithole, but they're illegal! They can be exploited.              NOTE: The actual loss in earning was much greater, as the loss       was suffered exclusively by hourly wage earners, and the lower       on the pay scale the more susceptible to exploitation.              So there's no relationship at all between "Executive Compensation"       and market economics, no such relationship exists for even a       corporate lawyer, while market forces are used to depress the       earning of "The little people."              It's social, not economics.              Economics has NOTHING to do with most people's earning power. It's       their class that matters, not their economic worth.              And it's worse than I make out here because anyone with the money       can go to law school, but it would be rare for "Anybody" to get       that cushy, high paying corporate lawyer job. No, their social       standing played a large roll there...              Monarchy, nobility institutionalizes social disparity. It insists       that social disparity is real, that there's a genuine difference       and you honestly are inferior and they're superior.              Would you want a surgeon who didn't earn the position but instead       was born as one? Would you want a a surgeon who was proclaimed a       surgeon at birth, or one who obtained the position because they       demonstrated competence?              We need to BAN monarchy, not support it.              And when it comes to foreign policy, and I'm speaking here in the       finest tradition of a liberal Democrat: He who intervenes least,       intervenes best."                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
