   The list of practices that follow were used as divination to know future   
   events etc. the system of numbers is not that.  Numbers in scripture were   
   often chosen to speak of divine matters.  For example, think of 12 and 40   
   and 1000 etc. that were repeated in scripture which had a   
   cultural/religious meaning to jews/hebrews; not only a count of something.
