Eph 6:17And take the helmet of salvation, and thesword of the Spirit, which is
   the word of God:

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and
of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
   heart.

This is the Bible, the Word of God unto men. The simple fact is that man,
without the Spirit of God dwelling in him, and he with the ears to hear is
provided with the understanding of God as he reads and meditates upon his word.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which isthe Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
These truths may mean very little to you, nonetheless they are truth.

You did. It was a thought in your head that you wrongly applied/

It did not happen as you described it. There are online bibles that you can
read and you can find in Deut 31:15 onwards what you are attempting to recall.

God has much to say, both to the individual and also to the corporate Body of
Christ. He is fully aware of our daily lives and events over all time. Yet the
Bible is constant truth of Him, His desires for us, the way we should walk as
Born Again believers, how to walk in the Spirit, as well as the spiritual gifts
he has for us for the edification of all. His Prophecies stand and are still
being fulfilled, and the latter day outpouring of the Holy Spirit is soon to be
in full operation, followed by his taking away of the Saints of God, both
   living and dead.

Currently God is calling the prodigal sons. Make way for the LORD for He is
   good.
