XPost: alt.bible, alt.religion, alt.religion.christian.biblestudy       XPost: alt.christnet.bible, alt.religion.christian.roman-catholic              A jw vatican follower robotically recites what he was spoon fed, "or else       the consequences: ":              >Yes, they say. And here is their proof.       >       >Revelation 1:7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye       >will see him, every one who pierced him; and all tribes of the earth       >will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.       >       >The book of Revelation contains the most symbolism of any Bible book.       >It has dragons, and beasts with crowns on their multi heads, and a       >lake that is on fire, etc, etc.              Dit you see it? Preset understanding/limit/dismiss the 2nd coming bit by       limiting it to "symbolism". That is typical jw vatican weasal word       tactics.              The church just celebrated the Ascension of Christ,ie. 40 days after       easter. Here is the Acts scene of the event, is the 2nd coming to be       physical from the clouds:               1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up,       behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;       1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into       heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so       come in like manner as ye have seen him              Does that provide any doubt of a "visible" return, "in like manner" as He       ascended?              So why would the jw vatican push the "visible" line? Easy, after multiple       false failed predictions for the date of His return, they borrowed the       millerite movement's excuse from the mid 19th century.        That also had multiple of the date setting predictions. When all failed       they said He had made an "invisible" return after the last of the failed       predictions after all.              The jw vatican founder used the same excuse saying his failed 1914       prediction was correct, it was an invisible return, sure.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
