   >>>Friend james; which two greek words are translated to match "torture
   >>>stake" used in the nwt?
   >
Friend james tries to excuse the two word usage:

   >Here is a comment from their glossary.

   >"Torture stake. The rendering of the Greek word stau·ros´, meaning an
   >upright stake or pole, such as the one on which Jesus was executed.

Ah, so there is only one greek word to indicate the upright wooden
   structure?

Please do explain why the nonexistent addditional word "torture" was added
when it is not in the NT? By whom and when was it inserted?
