in the right church it can be a present rock concert venue, as long as
you don't mind the elevated lyrics. try a vineyard or other youth
born-again congregation if they still exist. best rock concert I
attended was at a New York church with a bunch of ex-hippie ex-druggie
jesus freak rock musicians. they could really fucking play too. and in
the pews everyone but me was standing on the chairs. it was bizarrely
   breathtaking.
