You're misdefining the Middle Way by claiming it's located
"between attachment to life and aversion to life." The
Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta locates it in between two practices
-- devotion to sensual pleasure and devotion to
self-affliction -- while making it one of the Four Noble Truths.
Highly meaningful since they begin by describing life as
suffering, they go on to place the source of the problem in the
craving that leads to rebirth, and they see the solution in
its end. The Middle Way is a means to that end and thus a path
   away from worldly life.
