Asking questions is a good start.
There's a lot of little things,
So attention to detail is also required...
You can train that by learning to read Chiense or Japanese -- just a
suggestion there, not a requirement. Although there are many cultural
cues you won't appreciate (as someone who doesn't know the language)
   until you try.
Ultimately the best way to become a fully enlightened Zen master is to
already be one. But that would require you to act like one -- but, to
act like one before they became a fully enlightened Zen master. You're
trying to emulate their success, remember? That is the goal here, right?
   Practice makes perfect.

There's also a handful of secret techniques I will teach you if you pay
me. I won't discuss those here. But they can be had for free if you
dedicate your life to it, maybe, drop out of school like I did or forget
about normal work. Hmm. Maybe that is, in a way, one of the secrets. In
the immortal words of Japan's famous swordsmaster, "An art without Gokui
is not worth studying." Now, be a good little american and wake the fuck
up about all this, and you will be WELL on your way.

   Trust me.
