   Before I ask my question, let me explain why I am asking. I don't want   
   to be misunderstood.   
      
   I am a Born Again Christian, seeking to understand some things about   
   Judaism. I understand that Jew are waiting for the Messiah. I also   
   understand many do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. I'm OK with all of   
   that. I'm NOT trying to change anyones view, or promote Christianity. I   
   need to have an answer from a Jewish perspective.   
      
   My question is based on what scriptures, are Jews looking for a Messiah?   
   In other words, what book, chapter and verse explains that a Messiah is   
   coming, and explains certian things about him. I am aware of Isaiah 53.   
   but are there others?   
      
   If you are a Christian, please don't answer, I'm a Christian as well, so   
   chances are I know what you know. I'm trying to understand this from a   
   Jewish perspective.
