|    The Resurrection of the Assembly of God    |
|    14 Nov 07 09:32:42    |
From: allan-sv@algonet.se               The Resurrection of the Assembly of God        happens when Jesus comes              We can see in 2 Thess. 2:8 that when Jesus comes, then it is       the end with the Antichrist's government. When Jesus comes       he shall kill "the lawless one" (Antichrist). But in Rev. 19:20       we can read about the beast (Antichrist) and the false prophet,       that the two were thrown living into the Lake of Fire burning       with brimstone.              This can seem to be a contradiction. But the process for the       man of lawlessness, Antichrist, is the same as for other       unrighteousness people. First, die and then arise to judgement,       and thereafter thrown in the lake of fire. Accordingly, first the       Antichrist will become killed when Jesus comes, then arise       again and become thrown alive in the lake of fire.              After the great tribulation, when Antichrist's reign is ended,       then Jesus comes. When Jesus comes he shall kill the Antichrist,       and after that the first resurrection takes place. Then those dead       arise, which have believed in God and served him. They get       heavenly bodies. 1 Cor. 15:49-58.              And immediately after the affliction of those days the sun will       be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars       will fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens will       be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear       in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the land will wail.       And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of       heaven with power and much glory. And He will send His       angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather       His elect from the four winds, from the extreme limits of the       heavens to the extreme limits of them. Matt. 24:29-31.              Behold, I tell a mystery to you: we shall not all sleep, but we       shall all be changed. In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the       last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead ones will       be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed. For this       corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal one must       put on immortality. 1 Cor. 15:51-53.              For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the       living who remain to the coming of the Lord will not at all       go before the ones having fallen asleep. Because the Lord       Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding       shout of an archangel's voice, and with God's trumpet. And       the dead ones in Christ will rise again first. Then we who       remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds       to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always       be with the Lord. So, then, comfort each other with these       words. 1 Thess. 4:15-18. This is the rapture, and there is no       other rapture.              Accordingly, this is the first resurrection that we also can read       about in Rev. 20:4-6. Among those who have parts in the first       resurrection are also these that have lived under the Antichrist's       government, and not have worshipped the beast or its image,       and have not taken its mark on their foreheads or hands. It       cannot be more than one first resurrection.              In the free-churches they have preached, and many have this       comprehension, that Jesus first shall come and fetch the       Assembly, invisible for the world. But this is only a theory       that does not have any support in the Bible. That Jesus would       fetch the Assembly before the first resurrection is entirely       absurdly. The resurrection of the Assembly of God happens       when Jesus comes.              The wrath of the Antichrist will hit the Assembly of God       under the great Tribulation, but not of God's wrath. Jesus says       in Matt. 24:22, "And except those days were cut short, not any       flesh would be saved. But on account of the elect, those days       will be cut short." The Antichrist shall not succeed to murder       all Christians. When Jesus comes after the great Tribulation,       to take his people up to heaven, then there will be living       Christians on the earth. Then they will be caught up together       with those who have died in the faith in Jesus, in the clouds to       a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be       with the Lord. 1 Thess. 4:17.                     Allan Svensson              If you have any questions after reading of this article       Please, visit my Web Site       What shall happen before Jesus comes?       http://www.algonet.se/~allan-sv/BEFORE.HTM              The Rapture and the Resurrection of the dead       http://www.algonet.se/~allan-sv/PAGE87.HTM              As in the days of Lot       http://www.algonet.se/~allan-sv/PAGE88.HTM              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
