From: allan-sv@algonet.se               What is a revival? How does a revival rise?              A revival appears when God's Spirit reveals a "forgotten" Biblical       truth so that it becomes preached anew. This does not happen by a       coincidence, but it is God's Spirit that reveals the truth as an answer       on prayer. It is namely so that God listens to prayers and we can       get the knowledge of the truth.              When anyone discovers a biblical truth and wants to practise it,       then he meets resistance, foremost from them that profess them       as Christians. Why? Because they are blinded of the confusing       spirits that ravage in the churches and denominations.              Is it any "new" truth in the Bible that has not become preached,       and that can bring forth a radical revival? It is at least three such       truths in the Bible that have not been preached. It is the truth about       the Assembly of God, and this truth also includes the truth of the       baptism in the Holy Spirit. This truth has only partly become       understood and preached.              The common comprehension they have in the free-churches is that       people can be members in the Assembly of God without being baptized       in the Holy Spirit, and that all who are baptized in the Holy Spirit can       speak in tongues. This is contrary to the Bible's word. In 1 Cor. 12:       12-13 we see that in the Assembly of God, the Body of Christ, we are       all baptized in the same Spirit. And in verse 30 we see that not all are       speaking in tongues.              In the Pentecostal Movement, and other free-churches, they are       preaching that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is only for them that       are born again. We must become born again before we can become       baptized in the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, on the day of Pentecost       Peter promised unsaved people that they would get the Holy Spirit       as a gift when they did repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus       Christ. Consider, that Peter promised the Holy Spirit to people who       had not been born again! And when they received the Holy Spirit,       what happened then? Then they got the new life in Christ and were       born again!              The third biblical truth that they have not preached or understood is,       the exodus of God's people from the great Babylon. Since they have       not understood the truth of the Assembly of God, they have neither       understood that God's people must come out from the great Babylon       before Jesus comes.              A hundred years ago the truth of the baptism in the Holy Spirit       brought forth a powerful revival. Yet, they were preaching and       understood this truth only partially. When this truth becomes       understood and preached completely, then it must bring forth a       still more powerful revival. Then they must also preach the       Assembly of God's exodus from the great Babylon.              These three biblical truths hear closely together. We cannot       understand one of these truths, without understanding also the two       others. A deficient knowledge of the baptism in the Holy Spirit       gives a deficient and incorrect assembly view. The Body of Christ,       the Assembly of God, is only those who have received Jesus Christ       as their personal Saviour, independent of the Pentecostal Movement,       churches and denominations. They do not need membership in any       church or denomination.              Using the word "church" in the English Bible causes a big problem       for English-speaking people.              The Body of Christ is no church. In 1 Cor. 12:12-30 we can see that       the Body is a living organism, and not any organized movement. It is       an essential difference between a living organism and an organized       church system. Instead of "church" in the English Bible they ought to       use "assembly".                     If you have any questions after reading of this article       Please, visit my Web Site              http://www.algonet.se/~allan-sv/CONTENTS.HTM              (Article 86)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
