XPost: alt.bible, alt.christnet.christianlife       From: a202010@mail.com              a marble that has been rolling around in my head for a while;       it concerns timelines and man's relationship to YHWH God.              essentially it concerns the Genesis timeline       and man's state with regards to God's own Sabbath.              so, in Genesis chapter 2, God's Sabbath is declared       as a foregone conclusion, but the work of creating       is yet unfinished,              and then, we, the audience, return to NOW, and Day 6,       the creation of man, where we seem to stay put, at       least until the completion of Christ's Good work.              and we note that Adam was not formed in a restful state and       does not seem to enter in to God's own Rest, and subsequently,       from Adam to Christ, the entry in to God's Rest is _Promised_       but never quite fulfilled.              in fact, Adam is created as a toiling, slavish individual,       who needs to be set free, and then the commands begin.              "will the man listen to God's instruction?"              Adam in Eden was not in God's own Rest,       and neither does Adam see God's own Rest       even if this Rest is viewed by God as a foregone,              and so, from the onset, once again, we can see       how Adam was formed in an unfinished state,              and not only that, but Biblically, Day 6 seems to drag on       from the formation of Adam, to the Crucifixion of Christ,       where he gasps, "it is [now] 'finished'"              scrittural references...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
