A jury will decide the damage issue according to any
witnesses called and those would include potential employers
turned off by the libel... the cash damages could easily be in
the hundreds of thousands of dollars, the emotional damages in
the millions, and punative damages millions more.
Libel suits are quite common, and most often won by the
victimized person because juries recognise the real nature of
the damages done. The criminal cult of scientology has lost
many libel cases, the Bonnie Woods case and that of the
Canadian Judge (forgot name) both in the millions of dollars.
Scn thinks that its use of anon untraceable operatives
insulates it from libel suits... they are wrong. When the
cult itself follows up on the threads and story line of the
anon operatives it links itself inextricably with the
operatives and becomes liable for damages.
