Hubbard had an obsessive hostility towards the mental health profession   
   that has been institutionalized within the Church of Scientology.   
   Their pathological hatred of medical doctors, psychoanalysts,   
   psychiatrists and psychologists is well known.  Hubbard was rabid in   
   his dislike of this profession and called them frauds, charlatans,   
   butchers and neurotics and called their techniques antiquated 19th   
   century practices based on discredited continental procedures that have   
   not since been developed.   
      
   By contrast, Scientology offers auditing where the preclear holds   
   electrified soup cans while being told that he/she is infected with the   
   souls of murdered space aliens.   
      
   Many believe that Hubbard was a fraud and that Scientology is   
   fraudulent.  Hubbard's books, pamphlets, articles, bulletins and such   
   which bear his name indicate in their author symptoms of paranoid   
   schizophrenia of long standing with delusions of grandeur.  Much of   
   Hubbard's writings show a morbid preoccupation with matters relating to   
   abnormal behavior of women, sex, rape, abortions and similar topics.   
   In Dianetics, Hubbard showed an unhealthy attachment to abortions,   
   rape, perversion and similar matters.
