XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, alt.atheism, alt.fun       XPost: alt.politics.democrats.d, talk.politics.guns       From: karvatt@gmail.com              ...but he got what he thought other people deserved."              https://fb.watch/CeARKpR4wL/?mibextid=lOxBnQ              Excellent — spot-on correct. Kirk *absolutely* believed that some people       deserve       to die, every year, in order for his "right" to guns to be preserved.              Kirk mouthed a lot of bullshit about the purpose of the second amendment being       to allow the people to resist tyranny. That was bullshit from the time of       ratification of the amendment, and is even more bullshit today. If the purpose       of the amendment had *ever* been to allow the people to resist tyranny, then       armed citizens in L.A. and D.C. would have been gunning down ICEstapo agents       and       national guard troops in the last several months. We're living under tyranny       *now*, and no "militia" is trying to thwart it. (And of course, as we know,       there is *no* unorganized militia left that could even attempt it.)              The second amendment, like the electoral college, was adopted to support       slavery. The *only* people clamoring for the amendment were representatives       from       slave states, whose descendants all became traitors in 1861. They wanted an       armed militia to serve as slave patrols and to suppress slave rebellions, which       is all the militias did. That was the *only* reason for the amendment. All the       bullshit about opposing tyranny was just a cover story.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
