   Protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity took   
   place in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood on Saturday, near where   
   authorities said an armed woman was shot by agents after she rammed one   
   of their vehicles.   
      
   The shooting was reported at around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of   
   39th Street and South Kedzie Avenue.   
      
   DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said agents   
   were conducting routine patrols on Saturday morning when they were   
   rammed by 10 cars and "boxed in."   
      
   McLaughlin said one of the drivers who rammed a law enforcement vehicle   
   was armed with a semi-automatic weapon, and agents were "forced to   
   deploy their weapons and fire defensive shots."   
      
   The woman, according to the DHS assistant secretary, drove herself to   
   the hospital for treatment. No law enforcement officers were injured,   
   authorities said.   
      
   "Unfortunately, JB Pritzker’s Chicago Police Department is leaving the   
   shooting scene and refuses to assist us in securing the area," the   
   assistant secretary said, in part, following the shooting. "There is a   
   crowd growing and we are deploying special operations to control a   
   growing crowd..."   
      
   McLaughlin said the woman, who hasn't been identified, "was named in a   
   CBP intelligence bulletin last week for doxing agents and posting online   
   ‘Hey to all my gang lets fu** those mother ******* up, don’t let them   
   take anyone.’"
