XPost: rec.autos.driving, alt.stupidity, sac.politics       XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, talk.politics.guns       From: noreply@mixmin.net              FRESNO, California (KSEE) – Obdulia Sanchez the woman who live-streamed       a deadly crash that killed her sister was arrested in Stockton early       Thursday after a high-speed chase, police say.              Police said around 1:30 a.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a       vehicle code violation in the area of Rosemarie Lane and Piccardo Circle       in Stockton.              The driver failed to yield, leading officers on a short vehicle pursuit.              The driver identified by police as Obdulia Sanchez failed to take a turn       and drove the car off the roadway.              “At which a male passenger jumped out and ran onto Interstate-5,” said       Stockton Police Spokesperson Joe Silva.              Sanchez was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle       revealed a loaded firearm, police said.              “Anytime we locate a loaded firearm,” said Silva. “Whether it is inside       the vehicle or on a person, it turns into an extremely dangerous       situation.”              Obdulia Sanchez, 20, was arrested for weapons and traffic violations       according to police. She will now have to face new charges from the       state.              Obdulia was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI and child       endangerment after live-streaming the crash that killed her 14-year-old       sister Jacqueline back in 2017.              The live stream feed showed Sanchez behind the wheel and the moment she       veered off the road near Los Banos and flipped her car. Her sister and       her sister’s friend were ejected. Sanchez continued to live-stream and       even showed her sister’s dead body.              Despite being sentenced for more than six years, Obdulia Sanchez would       serve less than half of that before being released on parole in late       September.              “With these new charges,” said Silva. “Evading police, leading officers       on a pursuit, being in a position of a loaded firearm. Those are serious       charges, Fresh charges. There are conditions in her parole that she must       obey all laws which she obviously didn’t today.”              Her father Nicandro said his daughter made a mistake and drove away from       the police because she was scared.              https://www.yourcentralvalley.com/news/crime/woman-who-live-streamed-dead       ly-crash-that-killed-her-sister-arrested-in-stockton-with-a-loaded-gun/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
