XPost: tx.politics, misc.legal, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh       XPost: talk.politics.guns, sac.politics       From: leroysoetoro@americans-first.com              https://news4sanantonio.com/news/local/bexar-judge-rosie-gonzalez-caught-       with-loaded-gun-at-san-antonio-airport              SAN ANTONIO - A local judge was briefly detained at the San Antonio       International Airport for having a loaded handgun in her carry-on bag.              Bexar County Court Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez was on her way to a       conference in Miami on Sept. 19 when the TSA scanner detected her handgun.              San Antonio Police officers ran background checks, confiscated the gun and       let her go to catch her flight.              In her chambers behind County Court 13, Judge Gonzalez showed us the case       she had at the checkpoint and the handgun that was in one of the pockets.              According to the police report, the handgun was "chambered with five       bullets in the magazine."              “I had a flight scheduled to go out to Miami, I had to make sure I caught       the flight and it was a complete oversight on my part and I hope it serves       as a lesson for people that carry to be that much more diligent in going       through their things before they board a plane," Gonzalez said.              Gonzalez says police allowed her wife to come pick up the gun. A San       Antonio Police spokesperson said in an email that is the usual procedure.              Gonzalez was asked if she could face further repercussions.              “I think I could. I believe that the incident report has been forwarded to       the district attorney's office. I was told by the officer that TSA may       follow through with a fine of some sort," Gonzalez said.              The judge, who is running for a second term in November, says she carries       a gun because her court handles volatile domestic violence cases.              “I did start getting threats by email, social media and letters, and so I       decided to get the firearm that I bought, which is a small thirty-eight."              The New York Times reports so far this year 4,600 guns have been       discovered at airport checkpoints nationwide, and 87 percent of them were       loaded. TSA can fine a person up to $14,000.                     --       November 5, 2024 - Congratulations President Donald Trump. We look       forward to America being great again.              We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that       stupid people won't be offended.              Every day is an IQ test. Some pass, some, not so much.              Thank you for cleaning up the disasters of the 2008-2017, 2020-2024 Obama       / Biden / Harris fiascos, President Trump.              Under Barack Obama's leadership, the United States of America became the       The World According To Garp. Obama sold out heterosexuals for Hollywood       queer liberal democrat donors.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
