   Do they have a drumming/singing/whatever session that gets you out of the   
   ward? Join if so - if they try to prevent you, keep going on about feeling   
   trapped and scared because you don't have any creative outlet. Even a brief   
   break during the day can make    
   the time that much more bearable.   
      
   Do you have access to an advocate? Make use of her/him to get yourself out of   
   there that much sooner. If there's no advocate onsite, get onto MIND and make   
   as much noise as possible in ward and to whoever's on the phone until you get   
   access to one    
   because it is your right to have access. Staff mistreating you? Find out and   
   kickstart the complaints procedure.
