   Whatever works. Aside from ad blockers, I take an all-or-nothing approach   
   to personalized censorship. I'd like to think I'm strong enough to have   
   conversations with people who want me dead. I just need thicker skin or   
   more alcohol.

   It's ok. Each instance is its own thing, more or less a silo, very   
   feudalist. All that is fine, but it can be confusing as to how much reach   
   each account or post has between instances. Some instances will defederate   
   or censor and may or may not tell people they're doing it. How much reach   
   each post has depends on more factors than Twitter/X because of the way   
   Mastodon does federation, and it often feels like shouting into the void.
