Are you done with your propaganda?
Islamic countries are not monolithic but they can become so.
The more «advanced» muslim countries appreciate the advantages of being
in good terms with their neighbors and the West in general. Good
examples are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Brunei, etc. They, among other
advantages, appreciate tourism, western investments of many kinds, the
stability brought by employment and better international financial
solvency and a more comfortable standard of living for their general
population and the accompanying internal political stability.
War, whether it be prolonged low key or all out conflict, brings
poverty, misery, fear, desire for revenge and internal instability for
   all parties involved.
It will not be easy but it is time to start thinking out of the
proverbial box, or the present situation will never end (do you
understand «never end»?) and may drag us the West) into unforeseen
potentially very dark horizons. Experts like you in the identification
of religious fanaticism surely understand that. By far presently, there
are tree major obstacles to the improvement of the present situation,
Hamas, the present Netanyahu Israeli government and the unfortunate
reluctance of the US government to assume leadership and to do the
   necessary arm twisting.
In fact, unfortunately, it may very well be to late for success within
   the lifespan of a generation.
