   That's true on paper and as taught in academia, but as the OJ Simpson   
   civil trial proved, it doesn't always work out that way in practice. Few   
   Americans believed that OJ was innocent of killing his estranged wife,   
   despite the not guilty verdict in his criminal trial.  Hollywood, the   
   mainstream media, and perhaps half of all Americans believe Donald Trump   
   is guilty of all kinds of crimes all the time.  The mainstream media is   
   the main cheerleader when it comes to pushing the idea that some persons   
   are guilty even when not proven guilty in a court of law, IMHO.
