   We had a freak wind storm this summer so there is a lot of pine for the   
   hauling. A ponderosa pine has a very shallow root structure, not enough to   
   hold up a 70' tree in 90 mph winds. Watch out for creosote buildup.   
      
   Western larch is the preferred firewood here, but you burn what you can   
   get.
