   You type from ignorance. You should research how Walter Reed eradicated   
   yellow fever and malaria from Cuba and Panama (Canal Zone) for the U.S.   
   Army. Until the Army, under the direction of Teddy Roosevelt, tackled   
   the mosquito spread diseases, it was not untypical for cities like New   
   Orleans to lose up to half their populations to tropical diseases within   
   a year. The marketplace did nothing to eradicate yellow fever nor   
   malaria. Similarly, polio was eradicated through government funded   
   vaccination programs.
