   In the '60s and '70s, Zero Population Growth (ZPG) was all the fashion   
   amongst Democrats, Liberals, and hippies.  Colorado Governor Dick Lamm   
   and Oregon Governor McCall asked visitors to their respective states to   
   enjoy their visits but to please not move there.  In Colorado you would   
   see bumper stickers that said "Don't Californicate Colorado."  Americans   
   could see that overpopulation was taking a huge toll on the environment   
   and wanted to stop it in order to preserve the vast open spaces and   
   empty shorelines we were blessed with in America.   
      
   The Democrat Party used scare tactics that Republicans would ban   
   abortion while, at the same time, joining forces with Chamber of   
   Commerce types and "employers" to whine about the need for immigrants,   
   especially from Third World countries, due to the alleged shortage of   
   "workers" and began importing tech workers from India to accelerate the   
   sudden appearance of billionaires to transfer wealth from the middle   
   class to the Bill Gates's and Steve Jobs's of the world.  Now they've   
   got their brainwashed supporters to parrot talking points that Whitey is   
   to blame for mass migration due to their low birth rates.
