   Of all the proposed spin-offs, I think Ripper is the most viable now.   
   Giles won't have aged so obivously as the younger characters, so there   
   will be more continuity. I'm visualising something a bit melancholy,   
   downbeat and character-driven, with sparing use of special effects. A   
   sort of Inspector Morse with vampires.
