   she hosts charity event at the Santa Monica pier

   Sarah Michelle Gellar did her part for charity on Sunday.   
   The 37-year-old actress hosted the 15th annual Mattel Party on Sunday at the   
   Santa Monica Pier, benefiting the Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA.   
   The Cruel Intentions star put her game face on as she threw a few basketball   
   shots, helped out with the other game booths and signed autographs.   
      
   Sarah, who is married to Freddie Prinze Jr., was appropriately dressed for   
   the occasion in a lightweight beige sweater, shorts and sneakers.   
   She had her hair pulled up in a ponytail and flashed her bright smile as she   
   posed for the cameras.   
      
   After the event, Sarah posted a picture of her on the pier writing, 'Thank   
   you to everyone who donated and volunteered today for #POP @MCHUCLA   
   @Mattel...What an incredible day'.
