From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://www.masslive.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2015/05/joss_whe       on_quits_twitter_says.html              Joss Whedon quits Twitter, says it's not due to 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'       backlash              Director Joss Whedon has deleted his Twitter account, but says it was not       because of attacks by feminists over his recent movie Avengers: Age of       Ultron.              "Believe me, I have been attacked by militant feminists since I got on       Twitter," Whedon told Buzzfeed. "That's something I'm used to. Every breed       of feminism is attacking every other breed, and every subsection of       liberalism is always busy attacking another subsection of liberalism,       because, God forbid they should all band together and actually fight for the       cause."              The filmmaker said he decided to reclaim his personal life and creative       spark , which meant bidding adieu to Twitter: "I just thought, Wait a       minute, if I'm going to start writing again, I have to go to the quiet       place."              Since Avengers: Age of Ultron opened, Whedon – known for his creation of       strong female characters like Buffy The Vampire Slayer – was rapped for       softening Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, into a damsel in       distress. Black Widow has been featured in four Marvel movies since Iron Man       2 in 2010.              A sampling of Black Widow criticism from Twitter: [at the link]                     http://daviderl.com/ .       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
