From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/joss-whedon-wanted-spider-man       and-captain-marvel-in-avengers-age-of-ultron/              Joss Whedon Wanted SPIDER-MAN and CAPTAIN MARVEL In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON              Before you read on, this article will discuss the plot of AVENGERS: AGE OF       ULTRON and could contain spoilers for those who have not yet watched the       film, so proceed at your own risk.              It’s been a rough couple of days for Joss Whedon. The AVENGERS director       seemed almost bulletproof in the eyes of fanboys everywhere thanks to       projects like BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and FIREFLY. He’s a comic book       afficionado, and his deep understanding of Marvel lore made him a perfect       choice to helm the first big screen appearance of Earth’s mightiest heroes.       But, he seems to have fallen into a sophomore slump. Whereas the first       Avengers film was met with almost unanimous praise, the newest outing –       AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON – has put the director in an uncomfortable position.       While the movie has proven to be divisive among fans and critics, it has       still earned a lot of money in just two short weeks, but it’s not without       controversy.              Specifically, the scene in which Black Widow reveals to Bruce Banner that       she is sterile as a result of her training back in Russia. Her character       says the line, “you’re not the only monster in the group”. Now, a lot of       women’s rights groups are angry that Whedon would use that type of       description, claiming that it is reductive. This forced Whedon to leave       Twitter, and has apparently sent him into seclusion. But, through press       tour interviews, we’re learning some more information about the film.              You may recall that early rumors suggested that CAPTAIN MARVEL would appear       in some sort of end-credits scene in Age Of Ultron. Obviously, this wasn’t       the case, since we’ve all seen the movie and know that this cameo didn’t       take place. But, according to Whedon, if he had his way, we definitely       would have seen her and a certain web-slinging hero that’s finally come back       home to Marvel:              “I said, ‘It would be great if we could just add a few more … If we could       have a Captain Marvel there …’ And they talked about it. And Spider-Man, we       could do that too, because Sony had approached us during the first movie       about a little integration, so I would have put both of them in, but neither       of the deals were made, and then they’re like, ‘We’re making a Captain       Marvel movie, and we’ve got Spider-Man as a property!’ I was like,       ‘I’ve       already locked my film, you fuckers. Thanks for nothing!”              Now that would have been amazing. Anywho, Whedon has officially shut the       door on the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the foreseeable future. Joe and       Anthony Russo will helm the third and fourth sequels, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR       Parts I & II, and Whedon is moving on to other things. SPIDER-MAN will make       his MCU debut in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, while CAPTAIN MARVEL will be       getting her own film in 2017.              http://daviderl.com/ .       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
