From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3139160/Buffy-Vampi       e-Slayer-vet-Charisma-Carpenter-44-lands-role-TV-s-Scream-Queens       Ariana-Grande-s-mother.html              Charisma Carpenter, 44, lands role in TV's Scream Queens as Ariana Grande's       mother       By ROSS MCDONAGH FOR DAILYMAIL.COM              Roles in teen horror TV dramas seem to be carved out for her.              Charisma Carpenter has been cast in Scream Queens as Ariana Grande's mother,       according to a Thursday report from Deadline.              The actress will join the growing cast of Fox's comedy-horror anthology       series when it debuts this autumn.              On the same day, the show's lead Emma Roberts revealed on her Instagram       account that the pilot episode will hit TV screens on September 22; however       the world premiere takes place at San Diego's Comic-Con in July.              Charisma's last recurring role was on ABC Family teen drama The Lying Game,       which only lasted two seasons; before that she had an 11-episode run on       Veronica Mars.              Besides that she has appeared in dozens of standalone episodes of TV shows       and TV movies, but fans most remember her for her role as Sarah Michelle       Gellar's ditzy and ridiculously vain sidekick and Xander's on-again       girlfriend on the first three seasons of Buffy.              She went on to play the same character, although with the newly developed       ability to see visions of people in need as a plot driver, for five seasons       of the spin-off Angel, with David Boreanaz.              Scream Queens, created by Glee's Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy,       has been described as 'Mean Girls meets Friday the 13th' by Roberts. The       show tells the story of a college campus that is rocked by a series of       murders.              It also stars Jamie Lee Curtis as the college dean, along with Lea Michele,       Abagail Breslin, Joe Jonas, as well as carpenter's 'daughter' Grande.              Early reviews for the series are very positive; according to E!, which seen       the entire first episode, Roberts, Jonas and even Michele put in hilarious       turns, even though the latter - who plays Hester 'Neckbrace' and suffers       with scoliosis - doesn't say a single word.              'In all sincerity, it's perhaps the most thoroughly enjoyable TV show that's       premiered in years. Outrageous. Hilarious. And just so much FUN,' it wrote.               [pics and videos of CC on Buffy and Angel]              http://daviderl.com/CharismaLeeCarpenter.html .       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
