   Here's a preview for 'Con Man,' a new series by Firefly stars about being   
   washed up in sci-fi   
      
   'Con Man,' a new crowd funded comedy web series, tells the story of Wray   
   Nerely — the co-star of the massively popular, but now canceled sci-fi   
   series 'Spectrum' — and his life trying not to be a professional convention   
   man.   
      
   If this first preview is any indication, it looks like it's going to be   
   amazing. And it has enough cameos (list below) to power at least a dozen   
   episodes of basic cable programming   
      
   Here's the full, official rundown of the show:   
      
       Con Man centers on the post-show life of Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) the   
   co-star of Spectrum, a sci-fi series, which was canceled before its time and   
   went on to become a cult classic beloved by fans. Wray's good friend, Jack   
   Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred as the series Captain and has gone on to   
   become a major celebrity, while Wray (Tudyk) hasn't found his desired level   
   of stardom. Wray is the begrudging guest of sci-fi conventions, comic book   
   store appearances, and different pop culture events; however, everything is   
   not as it seems from the outside. The series will explore these events and   
   all the weird and crazy things that happen to them along the way.   
      
   Con Man also features a plethora of Sci-Fi's biggest personalities   
   including: Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Amy Acker (Person of   
   Interest), Sean Maher (Firefly), Felicia Day (Buffy The Vampire Slayer),   
   Jewel Staite (Firefly), Summer Glau (Firefly, Terminator: SCC), Sean Astin   
   (Lord of The Rings), Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Robot Chicken),   
   Liza Lapira (Dollhouse, Don't Trust the B*itch in Apt 23), Alison Haislip   
   (Attack of the Show), and Joss Whedon.   
      
   Con Man will be available for rental on Vimeo on September 30, with $14.99   
   earning you access to all twelve episodes, which will be released   
   simultaneously, for a three-month window.
