      Charisma Carpenter celebrated her 45th birthday Thursday July 23rd.   
   Charisma is widely known for her roles in a variety of television shows. In   
   honor of her birthday, here are my top 5 roles portrayed by Charisma   
   Carpenter.   
      
   5. Ashley Green (Malibu Shores) - After a wide variety of guest appearances   
   on other shows, Charisma Carpenter landed her first major role on the   
   short-lived Aaron Spelling soap opera Malibu Shores. Carpenter portrayed a   
   character similar to the one she later played on Buffy — a snobby rich girl   
   whose daddy pays for her designer wardrobe.

   4. Kira The Seer (Charmed) -- Charmed offered a number of great guest stars,   
   Charisma Carpenter happens to be one of my favorites! Carpenter portrayed   
   the role of Kira, a demonic Seer who turned her back on the Underworld with   
   the intention of one day becoming human.   
           [Would be MY #2 Fave]   
      
   3. Maggie Stark (Supernatural) - The CW's Supernatural treated us to a mini   
   Buffy reunion, reuniting Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters — aka   
   Cordelia and Spike. The two portrayed witches with an 800 year old history.   
   Carpenter's character, Maggie, separated from her husband, Don, after   
   learning of an affair. In anger, she kills people associated with Don   
   through spells mediated by placing a magical coin near them.

   2. Kendall Casablancas (Veronica Mars) - Charisma shined on Veronica Mars as   
   Kendall Casablancas, who married real estate magnate Richard Casablancas for   
   his vast wealth. She was a stepmother to two high school boys, Dick and   
   Cassidy, and she began having an affair with their friend Logan Echolls.   
           [my #3 Fave, VERY close to #2 because of her bikini bod and "Cordy"   
   personality]   
      
   1. Cordelia Chase (Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel) - Obviously, my favorite   
   Charisma Carpenter role is Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel's Cordelia   
   Chase. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Carpenter played her as a stereotype —   
   the typical mean girl who we originally loved to hate. Later her character   
   grew on us, especially in Angel where Cordelia proved to be a strong, loyal,   
   capable, downright heroine. No other actress could have portrayed Cordelia   
   better!   
      
        * And Something To Look Out For: Charisma will soon be guest starring   
   in Ryan Murphy's upcoming horror/comedy Scream Queens on FOX. The series   
   also stars horror legend Jamie Lee Curtis.
