From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2015/09/11/cbr-tv-juliet-l       ndau-finds-a-place-among-the-dead-in-new-vampire-documentary/              CBR TV: Juliet Landau Finds ‘A Place Among the Dead’ in New Vampire       Documentary              Actress Juliet Landau is no stranger to vampires, having played Drusilla on       the cult classic television show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and its spinoff       “Angel.” These days, however, she’s spending a lot more time behind the       camera as she and her husband Deverill Weekes explore the vampire phenomenon       in a two-part documentary series, “A Place Among the Dead” and “A Place       Among the Undead.”              At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Landau joined CBR TV’s Jonah       Weiland just outside the world famous CBR Yacht on the almost-as-famous San       Diego Marriott Marina to discuss the project. In the interview, she       explained part one, “A Place Among the Dead,” focuses on true crime reality       when people take the fantasy of vampirism too far and the second, “A Place       Among the Undead,” explores every aspect of vampires in myth and pop       culture, from movies and TV to comics and literature.              The documentaries will feature a number of high-profile creators, including       Tim Burton, Joss Whedon, Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe, Anne Rice, Robert       Patrick, Kevin Grevioux, Steve Niles and Georges Jeanty. Additionally,       Landau explained how she and Weekes created interlinking narrative pieces       which take place in locations like New Orleans and London.              On what she finds most interesting about vampires:              Julie Landau: I think the thing that’s been most fascinating (it’s one of       the reasons I wanted to make the documentary) is whenever I’ve come in       contact with other actors or creators of the vampire genre, we always tell       the most interesting, funny inside stories. I was like, ‘This needs to be on       film. People have to see this, to get inside it.’ It’s been a real       incredible journey to be on this side of it.”              On why she loves vampires:              I think it really started when I was playing Drusilla. I think that’s when       my fascination with it began, and then meeting all these people has been       just a real incredible joy. My husband and I are self-funding the project,       but it has continued to grow and grow and grow. We have so many amazing       people from all over the world that want to be interviewed, so we’re       actually going to launch an Indiegogo campaign. We have a number of       production companies that want to invest, but we want to make the       documentary that fans want to see and we want fans to be a part of film       history, to be a partner in making the definitive documentary about the       vampire phenomenon. We’re looking to raise $450,000.               [five minute interview about the documentary. Juliet actually HAS a       British accent]              http://daviderl.com/ .       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
