   Actor Nicholas Brendon, who starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer has   
   pleaded guilty to criminal mischief after he was accused of choking his   
   girlfriend during a fight in their upstate New York hotel room.   
      
   Nicholas pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge on Friday in Saratoga   
   Springs, reports The Albany Times Union.   
      
   Police said the 44-year-old Brendon grabbed his girlfriend by the   
   throat, took her keys and tossed her cellphone during a September 30 fight.   
      
   Prosecutors say he will not serve jail time in the latest case if he   
   completes drug and alcohol counseling and stays out of trouble for one   
   year.   
      
   'Based upon our review of the facts and circumstances of this case, and   
   after speaking with the victim, we believe justice was served,' District   
   Attorney Karen Heggen said.   
      
   Defense attorney Peter Coseo tells the newspaper his client is working   
   to 'get his life back together.'
